I didn't start my journey with confidence. I started with curiosity… and questions.
Years ago, I was just another IT professional trying to figure out where I belonged in the vast world of technology. I began with the basics — network administration, troubleshooting, supporting systems I didn't fully understand yet. Like many others, I learned by doing. Certifications weren't just a career step — they were a lifeline. They gave structure to what felt like chaos. CompTIA was my foundation. Then came more advanced goals: Security+, then CISSP.
But let me be honest — CISSP was intimidating.
I had heard all the voices: "It's too hard," "You're not ready," "You'll need years more experience." At one point, I believed them.
And then I stopped.
Instead, I created a study system. I blocked out the noise. I embraced focused learning, active recall, and layered revision. I learned not just the content — but how to think like someone who already belonged in cybersecurity leadership. And when I passed CISSP, it wasn't just a win for me. It proved that discipline, resilience, and strategy could beat doubt, burnout, and gatekeeping.
After I shared my success on LinkedIn, I was overwhelmed — not by praise, but by people reaching out for help. Dozens of professionals wanted to know how I did it, how I stayed focused, how they could start. That single post made something clear:
I wasn't the only one who had been looking for guidance. I had become the person I once needed.
Why I Created 0CAMPUS
I created 0CAMPUS because I believe you shouldn't need a physical classroom, expensive tuition, or gatekept systems to break into cybersecurity. The reality is, many talented people are held back not by lack of potential — but by lack of access, structure, and mentorship.
After navigating my own journey from entry-level IT to becoming a CISSP-certified professional, I realised how isolating and confusing the process can feel without the right support. What made the difference for me wasn't just books or certifications — it was clarity, resilience, and people who genuinely cared about helping others succeed.
